Out alone at sunrise on a chilly winter morning, sitting on his board, waiting for the ocean to do something useful. Learning to surf is a battle of determination against constant failure, paddling hard just to fall off the wave straight away and do it all over again. This bloke wasn't staying up for more than half a second, but he was the only one out there, and the sky was doing that, so honestly he wins.
Torquay is where Australian surf culture started, and this is what it looks like before the crowds arrive. The beach breaks here draw everyone from groms to legends, but the quiet winter dawns belong to whoever shows up and has the patience to sit in them.

Where is Torquay? Torquay is a coastal town on the Surf Coast of Victoria, about 20 minutes south of Geelong. It's the birthplace of Rip Curl and Quiksilver, home to Bells Beach, and the beginning of the Great Ocean Road.
What sizes are available? Prints are available in XS (21x29.7cm), S (29.7x42cm), M (42x59.4cm), L (59.4x84.1cm), XL (84.1x118.9cm) and EPIC (100x150cm).
Are prints framed or unframed? Both options are available. Choose from unframed, or framed in oak, black or white.
Is this printed in Australia? Yes. All Local Breaks prints are printed on museum-grade paper by an Australian printer.
Each of my prints features a white border, enhancing their aesthetic appeal. This includes unframed prints. I do not use mats. The sizes mentioned are for the print and border combined. If you choose a frame, the total size will be a bit bigger due to the frame's thickness.
The exception is floating frame canvases, which do not have a white border.
