Port Douglas Art Print II
A little white church, a wall of palm trees, and a boat heading out to sea without a care in the world. St Mary's by the Sea has been through more than most buildings twice its size, surviving cyclones, near demolition, and a relocation across town before finding its current home on the Port Douglas foreshore.
The original church was destroyed by a cyclone in 1911, rebuilt in 1914, and then moved to its present waterfront position in 1988 by a community determined not to lose one of the last historic buildings in town. It's now a heritage-listed landmark and one of the most photographed spots in Far North Queensland, which from up here is entirely understandable.
Printed on museum-grade paper and Australian made, each print is available framed or unframed in a range of sizes. Port Douglas wall art for any home.
