St Mary's by the Sea, framed by palms and looking like it grew here naturally rather than being relocated across town by a determined group of locals in 1988. From this angle, with the tropical gardens and the light filtering through, it's easy to see why it's been a wedding venue ever since it landed on the foreshore.
Inside, a large window behind the altar frames a direct view of the Coral Sea, which is either a beautiful architectural detail or the church making a very confident point about where to look for inspiration. Either way, there are few better spots in Far North Queensland to sit quietly for a moment.

Where is Port Douglas? Port Douglas is a coastal town in Far North Queensland, about an hour north of Cairns, sitting between the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. St Mary's by the Sea sits on the foreshore near the marina and is one of its most photographed landmarks.
What sizes are available? Prints are available in XS (21x29.7cm), S (29.7x42cm), M (42x59.4cm), L (59.4x84.1cm), XL (84.1x118.9cm) and EPIC (100x150cm).
Are prints framed or unframed? Both options are available. Choose from unframed, or framed in oak, black or white.
Is this printed in Australia? Yes. All Local Breaks prints are printed on museum-grade paper by an Australian printer.
Each of my prints features a white border, enhancing their aesthetic appeal. This includes unframed prints. I do not use mats. The sizes mentioned are for the print and border combined. If you choose a frame, the total size will be a bit bigger due to the frame's thickness.
The exception is floating frame canvases, which do not have a white border.
